96 Vmax XT 600 stock oil injection setting

I need info on how to adjust the oil injection setting, I haven't looked at it yet, but was wondering if its like a sxr on the cable. and what is the factory spec, the sled is all stock. Thanks any info would be nice, thanks.

There is an inline adjuster. There is an arm on the pump that has a line stamped in it line the line up on the arm with the line that is on the pump and your pump will be adjusted to stock/factory setting.

yup like bandit said there's aliment marks on the pump and housing that
you line up at WOT..

to adjust that^, you need to turn collar #2 in or out wile looking at the
marks.(#1 is a lock nut)

But!!!........before doing that...you need to;


Do these checks in this order;

1st- set idle to 16- 1,7000 rpm's(@ operating temp)

2nd- set throttle end play to 2mm(adjustment for that is down at the carb rack)

Yesterday I tried to adjust the oil injection, but ran out of adjustment. I held the throttle wide open and turned the screw into the nut, I have them together and when you pull the throttle wide open the mark comes past the other mark. So I'm still to rich, any other way to adjust?

is your cable binding/bent somplace,somthing's not right if that's screwed in
all the way you should be coming up short not over it..look over your
cable real good..
