dan said he thinks he has a 52/48 in stock. the helix is unmarked, but he has a good hunch that its a 52/48. what's your name? i'll let him know you want one.
I have a Team roller for a Polaris...yes I know this is the Yammi forum...and it seems to be binding up...like it won't break free and spread the sheaves. Are the springs loaded that much or is there an issue. I put my stocker back on and am happy for now but would like to figure this roller out. Thanks.

Take the clutch apart and make sure all the components are in good shape(bushings, rollers, helix, spring, etc.). Buy 3 delrin washers from Dennis Kirk or some place like that. Put one under the spring cup, and one on each side of the spring. You will need a special tool to take the spring out and put it back in. It is under alot of tension. Find somebody that has a tool, make your own, or buy one from Polaris, SLP, Team, etc. I can get pictures of my homemade tool if you want them. What size XC do you have and what is your clutch setup?

I have a '99 XC700 with a few things done to it. The roller came off a Pro-X 800 and then the helix in the roller came off a Pro-X 700. I am not sure of the exact #'s on the helix but I could check later. I have heard that putting the delrin washers in them helps with the binding...I'll get some but getting it apart may be a problem...you said you made a tool??? SLP black/red primary with 10-62's(for the pipes) in the brand new Comet 108-EXP....SLP black/orange in the stock secondary with new slippery buttons on the R-8 helix. The only thing I could do with what is in there now is a better helix but I do want to get that Team back on there so I held off on that and I also plan on going to a 136 aft4er this season so...that may change some things as well. The sled runs out really well and I am happy with it. Thanks Shortstop.

Here is a picture of the tool you need. Mine is a little different, but I found this picture searching around on the internet. I'm on the road right now, so I can't get pictures of my tool until this weekend.
The rod is just your standard threaded rod. On the left side, the nut is welded to the 1" square tubing and that is welded to the 3 sided box. You need one side open in order to get the snap ring in. Along with a decent pair of snap ring pliers(no Wal-Mart junk). On the right side of the tool you just need a washer and nut as shown to hold onto the outside of the clutch. All you do is twist the handle into the nut on the left side to tighten it down on the clutch. Once you've compressed the spider enough to take the pressure off the snap ring you can remove the snap ring. Then unscrew the threaded rod by the handle to slowly loosen the pressure on the spring. Better than spending $70 on the Team Ind. tool.

got the er high tech roller for my buddies piped viper and wow...what a difference. pulls great. way better than button secondary. we are using a 50/46 with good results.

how good are the stock clutches on a 2001 srx? because as the months go by i will be slowly adding mods to it, first i'll start with egt's, then get my pipes coated, then my rear suspension upgraded, and then my clutches.....
is it worth getting A/M primary and secondary clutches? iknow they cost alot....
i know jack about setting up a clutch on a sled....

i would get this er roller kit from high tech. it does work. it bolts right up to your stock secondary with no mods. yeah its $340, but you get what you pay for.
i'm going to get one for my piped viper as soon as I get some cash, for sure.

has anyone tried the aaen roller secondary? it bolts onto your stock secondary w/some machining.
