Darting

I tried shimming my c&a's but I took them off before I rode because the rear of the carbide was only touching about four inches out of a total of six. To you guys notice that your carbides wear prematurely? Furthermore I notice that is was one hell of a lot harder to turn sitting on the garage floor because it seemed that the rear part of the carbide was gouging the cement. Do you have the same problems? Or is this what I am looking for?

you must have put a 2x4 in there...lol, i don;t have any issues with my
shims, when the weight is on the ski's pretty much flat, there's just more
pressure in the rear..

before the shims the bars would wear bad in the front then tapper to the
back with the back carbide almost like new!!!

now evrything is wearing even..

Thanks daman I am going to try to ride one season on the wear bars that I have and I will see how they wear.....Then I will get to shimming I guess!

k here's my deal with darting, my sled is find it is my g/f's sled 2000 sxr 600 anyways when she is on it it darts and fallows my tracks something wicked.... i've tried it and well it don;t do it with me... lossened off the straps a 1/4'' and well the she felt she had no control over it at all so i was gonna tighten them back up and was thinking if i sofend up the no action suspention if that would help.. thinking it is the weight diff that can make it bad for her and fine for me....i got a good 80lbs on her... so..

Is There a difference?

I have a darting problem also, so I took my skis off, to do this wedge trick! Is there a reason why I cannot put this wedge on the aluminun saddle itself, right under where the rubber sits?? I can bolt it (to the saddle)with no glue required, and guarantee not to loose it. Anyone see any problems with this method??
