I have a 78 ex440 yamaha, was wondering what would cause the plugs to be slightly diff in color, single carb. CDI, reeds, coils, or would the carb being alittle dirty cause this?? Thanks

NOT A HUGE DEAL. I MEAN IF ONE WAS WHITE AND THE OTHER BROWN YES, PROBLEY CARB NEEDS CLEANING. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Pics did'nt turn out very good, there's alittle different in color. I did find both the main and pilot jet was somewhat plugged, not enough to burn it down. Both cylinders are at exactly 140#'s cold. Got me thinking, because of one carb, the darker one was on the clutch side. Thanks, sorry for the crappy pics

Thats what I thought, its a oval racer, I was thinking of the main being slightly plugged, caused the leanness. It has the stock 152 jet in it, it was 20 degrees out on these plugs. The jet, you could see thru it, but when I sprayed cleaner thru it, lots better. thanks
