sx 700 idles weird

when idling it sounds like its fouling a plug or getting to much fuel but once it gets above 4000 rpm it runs fine. and i found out when i first start it it runs fine it revs up real nice but once its warm it runs weird. my dad says it might be the reeds. im going to look at it this weekend.

When cold and at idle, check to see if all cylinders are warming up at the exhaust. My SX-R had plugged pilot jets earlier this year and it would affect it at idle. I had to replace one that was totally plugged. And it now runs perfect....

First thing i would do is pull the carbs and go right through them,clean
good, all jets/passages,etc..,then set to specification's, then go from
there,,,,

thanks ill do that this weekend hopefully a good carb cleaning is all it needs
