Erractic Viper ER Tach-please help

I installed a set of SLP triple pipes and had to eliminate the battery to make room for the silencer. Without the battery, the tach is now erractic. I read that the standard Viper is fitted with "smoothing condensers". Does anyone have any knowledge or information regarding this problem?

I remember problems with Er's last year. Some guys would have the battery go dead, and things would go crazy!

Is there a way you can run the battery at all?

there were problems posted about this last year, and i dont think you can run an ER without the battery. someone will post to help soon i am sure. but, first i'd try fitting a smaller lighter battery in there to try to solve the problem. ski
