Ok I'm sick of tuning clutches!!!!! I go about 220lbs geared up, and i need to get my clutching dialed on my 700. I've tried a few combos and don't like them. Some one give me a good set up for my weight please, I ride agressive trail and I like a little top end also. What springs, weights, rivets(how heavy and where) and helixes are the most desired OVERALL COMBO for my application. Please help!

I probably have everything for a #2 Hauck Clutch Kit, That's why I asked you (patsxr700) what they gave you with your clutch kit for those pipes.... all you said was some 4.5 rivets and springs. What springs, 4.5 rivets where on what weights, what helix, what wrap??????????

8900-9050 RPM, I've got stock weights with 4.5g and I think 3.6g(can't remember off hand in what hole they're in) y-w-y spring w shim......I've got a few secondary parts (45 helix, 52/47 helix, 47/41 helix, green spring and a hauck red spring. I know off hand that the primary needs more weight, it's got about a 2-350rpm over-rev
I hope you didn't pay $175 for some 4.5g rivets and a couple springs.

I didn't and I won't. That's why I wanted patsxr700 to tell me what hauck gave him and called it a kit

Here is what I am running in my piped SXR, 8DN10 with 3.5 outter and 2 in tip, www spring, 50/40 helix with green spring wrapped at 60. I am fine tunning my tip weight and looking to hit 9000 at wot. I am very close and really like the mid range and top end of this combo. My bottom end is not the best right now as I am tunning my pilot jetting and fuel screws. I see about 118mph on dream meter.

What kind of pipes are you running?

Sorry forgot to say I am running Aaen. But shift out RPM is 9000 on the Aaen which is close to your target RPM. The Aaen pull hard in mid and top...I am adding a bottle boost to get more HP from the bottom end. The clutches run cool with my set up so I know I am close to getting them dialed in. What are you not liking with your set up.
My brother-in-law is running cpr's in his sx. I have no idea how it's setup. I've been meaning to do some messing with it to see how it works, but with no snow here in Cental MN I have not taken the time. He's not much of a tuner so I probably need to do some work on it for him.

If you find out , let me know. I tune really well but the trial and error just gets old ya know what i mean. Just looking for a fairly rock solid proven setup for a guy that is my weight with my sled
I hear you there. It's nice when a guy can find a setup that is known to work and then tweak it a little for the sled/rider. Saves a bunch of time. I guess that's why they charge $175 for some rivets and springs. Of course the one size fits all clutch kit usually needs some tuning too to make it right. That's part of what makes this site so great. There are some really knowledgable guys/girls on here that have spent a bunch of time and money figuring it out and they share it for free. A person still has to fine tune but they can get it real close (sometimes right on) just typing.
