I see most people are using heel clickers, can anyone tell me why this is a better primary weight than heavy hitters? Is this weight better because of its backshift response ?

I have used them both and spent alot of time with both on timers and radar. My preffreance for speed running is heavy hitters and heel clickers for dgar racing and trail riding

I've found simular results - easier to get top end out the HH's but you can't beat the quickness of the HC's - you can get top end with the HC's, it just takes a little more work and tuning!!!

Did anyone of you guy's try dalton weigths. I find these weigths really good, adjustable weigths can take alot of time to set up, and if you are using them on snow you will have to adjust to the conditions. They made better time on asphalt than HH. But than again, every as there own special set up.

I have found better et's with dalton weights over the heavy hitters but It gets pricy when you have to by different sets there adjustable to a point.

I'm shooting for top speed so heavy hitters it is! I heard also that button style secondaries are best for top speed because then tend not to backshift & keep you in a taller gear . I suppose this makes sense because of the friction reduces backshift affect. ( w/ the proper helix angle )

my first try w/ heavy hitters 120 on speedo easily at 8600. gps next, then gear taller, & then more weight. we'll see what happens.

LIVED AND DIED WITH YAMAHA 8BU. TRYED HC IN MY SRX , JUST A AWSOME CLUTCH WEIGHT. THEY FLY WHEN TUNED. CAN,T COMMENT ON HH. 3:16 (yammie tony)

we tried heavy hitters and heel clickers in my buddies piped viper. seen 126mph on the dream-o-meter w/heavy hitters and 109mph on dream-o-meter w/the heel clickers. we love the heavy hitters. may have a set of heel clickers for sale soon....lol.

i too used the heavy hitters. & i liked them but that sled is long gone now & i dont remember the setup..i cant comment on the heel clickers...if i ever did it again i would just leave the 8dn-20's & call it good..no dickin around after everyday of riding trying to get it better..

toddmod, did you play w/them further? what were your best results? are you running them w/your hi-tech and 54/50 helix?
