I'm in the middle of a front heat exchanger and track swap. I inspected the drivers and noticed some damage. my ? is should I replace them or leave it? If I replace them would I be better off to use anti ratchet ofr stick with stock style?
thanks

They really don't lookk that bad to me if there is no cracks or stress mark I would leave them like that but since you have all out and wanna sleep better at night do it......I think you have 9 T in it right now...If you want I have a set off a viper for sale that they look brand new....Make me an offer and they are yours....But like I said I would just leave them....Nick

yup stock 9T. I didn't see any cracks on them, just the worn lugs. If I replace them I'll keep you in mind. thanks

I guess the question shawn is how much are new ones....That will be your best answer...if new ones are not that much for you just do it. Nick

you could buy the skidoo extrovert drivers, I am sure Rich or someone on the site can get them for or else try Tracks USA
only need 2!

that what I was thinking. I remember reading somewhere, when using the anti ratchet drivers it only required two. I think they are something like 90$ a set. I jsut wanted to know what you guys thought. I've just about used up my budget on this sled with a new track, studs, skid bushings, and front exchanger. So if there don't need to be replaced then I'm not going to. I may try the flip idea. I don't see why it wouldn't work?

Use them

Use those....they arent that bad. You might want to check and see if your sled has the split collars on the extreme outside of the drive shaft up against those drivers. They keep the outside drivers from pushing out especially when the track rachets. Looks to me like those outside drivers are a little too wide. When you get your new track set the drive shaft in it. If there is room to push the outside drivers closer together then do so. You only need about 1/8 inch play between the lug on the track and the driver. That damage was caused when you racheted the track.....the track clips cut those drive lugs. Push em in (you'll need a press) and get some split collars if you dont have them.

ok, thanks. Do you think I should flip them or just leave them the way they are? they do have an arrow on the inside pointing forward. by the collars, do you mean the piece with the set screw? If so mine are one piece. where can I get 2 piece ones? and How would they clamp on, with recessed bolts on either side of the split?

leave them and just make sure they are all perfect in the track windows. I have some lock collars somewhere for the shaft if you want them. Maxdlx

The arrows are because they are balanced.
All arrows must line up.

Yup, what he said. As long as you turn them all around and line the arrows all back up it will still be balanced. Then you will have good contact for your new track.
