I have a 00' sxr600 that I was thinking of turning into a 700 with maybe a set of pipes. To upgrade I've been trying to sell this sled without much luck so maybe I'll just work with what I've got.Wanted a 700 in the first place but could not find one locally in my price range and wanted to get on the snow.I'm getting out legged by my buddies on bigger sleds.I've seen cylinders etc. for sale.Easier to swap in a whole motor? Is this a reasonable swap and sell the 600 parts?Overall the sled is in nice shape so I don't mind spending a bit of cash on it.

Way easier to swap out the motor to a 700 than to transform one!

Turning your 600 into a 700 is not hard if you can't find one. Need pistons, jugs, heads, carbs and jetting, clutching, and CDI.

I saw that one on ebay.Plus it's in Canada;cheap to throw on a bus I think. That's what really got my wheels spinning on this idea.I know the carbs are bigger but are the boots and reeds the same? What about the factory pipe?Is there a site that has factory Yamaha parts diagrams WITH the part numbers so I could cross reference some of this stuff? Thanks.
on the home page there is a link to yamaha parts fiche. you should be able to find what you need there.
