not sure about sx sliders I thought it was the old phazer sliders which are much thinner then the stock sliders. Less friction on the sliders and the track will run more on the wheels. Less friction more speed.

sliders off of the 97-98 sx are thinner than srx sliders by about 1/8 -1/4 inch, less drag= more speed, tested this many times, also if your predator track is not fully clipped get some SLP Track/Hifax Anti-wear pads. lots of little things can make a world of difference.

That is what I was saying but I could not remember all the sliders that worked.

deeker and yammi......so pulling the straps down that tight make a difference...how ????Does that put tremendous strain on the w-arm and really compresses the shock.and if you pull them down like that...means the ski pressure is high also. Will you guys explain this a little better for me and why does long travel skid make you lose speed at top.I did notice the difference between the SX and SRX w-arms in one area. The so called bolt the limiterstrap wraps around goes thru the bracket welded up on the w-arm,and that bracket is in different location on a SX w-arm then the SRX w-arm.The SRX w-arm has this bracket welded higher up the arm (left and right),which means then that the straps would be pulled up more once the nut is screwed on the end and stock spec is used to pull the straps via this bolt going thru them brackets. If you know what I mean. How can I determine how much to pull up the straps using my SX w-arm.I like them slide saver bolts for the track to.My Predator is not fully clipped and has closed windows.Mind you I have over-sized idler wheels all thru out and my hy-fax is not really wearing out at all.

The higher the sled sits the more air is traped under and into the front of the track.Pulling the limiters gives a straighter aproach on the rails after the drivecogs. This all works on ice being a lake or a track but does not help on snow that well as you lose traction from less down pressure and like you say less shock movement over the bumps.Everybody sets there sled up differant to what they ride on the most or what they realy want it to do the best.Just my 1 cent.

well if you want top end these are some tips to help you out. I always keep my front shock in the rear skid soft so theres no pressure on the front of the rails meaning less friction and flatter track angle off the drivers. I also run the ski shocks real loose so the sled sits low, all depends on the kind of riding you do, mine was all lake running, you can't have the best of both worlds. just a few things to try, not sure about the sx w arm as I never long travelled any of my srxs.

My center shock is set at o pre-load and my front shocks are not jacked up much at all.I could even back the fronts off a tad more.Is there a measurement I can use or measure to from point A to point B to determine how tight I should pull up limiter straps. If I pul up the starps, then I should adjust my transfer rods to maximum transfer right.Get it to rock back more probably will lower the ride at the same time
