Did some of the recommended carb tuning, then ran it up north.
142.5 across, 2.5 needle, 1 3/4 turns out, reed notch, bored can.
First is a pic after a lake blast a bit over 1/2 mile or so.
Second is a pic after trail riding for about 15-20 miles.
Some guys said they were on the edge of burn, some said it was okay for the temps (mid 20s). Looked kinda white to me. Since I don't do 2 mi full pulls, Ive changed the needles back to 3 for midrange. Would taking the fuel screws to 2 out richen it up enough for 2.5?
Next: is there supposed to be small puddles of oil in the airbox?? If not, what causes this?? Did some 660' racing at the end of riding, probably a dozen or more runs.

The pic on the right is kinda hard to see the color real good! All triples spit back into the airbox like you suggested, so yes the oil puddles are normal. The only to cure that problem is to install a boost bottle
Plug reading 101
those are plenty safe, that jetting you had in it is good to over 20 below zero, those engines are pig rich stock.
if you look at your pics, the second pic shows themost detail because of the angle of the pic, it shows what your looking for, you see its a good color brown, the ground strap is not burned beyondthe curve, you see how from the tip back you see its a differnt color then from the curve to the ground housing, its not all flaky looking. The center electrode core is just barely silver around the edge, that means you have some more temp drop safety in it yet, its when that center electrode core is silver all the way across the bottom that its dead nuts on, but you dont have any room for temp drop riding, the second plug looks perfect, dont touch it!
there is another indicator and thats the white porcelin core, it will have a dark smoke ring about 1/2-3/4 the way down, when the plugs show signs of all 3 things I listed above your in the sweet spot!

Here are a couple pix of plugs after trail riding and resetting the needles to 3.
Pics 1 and 1a are the same plug, pic 2 is the middle. Thoughts? Trying to get this reading down pat. Thanks!

yamalube. In first set, saw maybe 1/2 pinky of wash if any... didn't look on second set (no light
). also, on second set, with needles back to 3, burble came back, kinda bad sometimes... I don't like the sound of it. why would it burble even with the reed notch??

check your oil settings..make sure they are within spec...maybe gettin too much gas on low end...put fuel screws to stock settings
