was just wondering if i could get a little bit more hp out of engine. i have the engine out now so now is the time. i seen the the exhaust ports are rough. if i grind those smooth it should help???? what do you guys think.

i will send them in the summer. but just looking for some small tricks for now as im going on a trip this week.

he needs every little bit he can get, we are pretty much neck and neck now.

I would say smooth out the welds that hang down in the exhaust flanges.

If you want speed, get rid of the big 1.25" track, and for god sake, take out 96 of those studs. 196 is extreme overkill. 96 is all you need. You're losing quite a bit of hp turning that much weight.

hahaha, your piston wasnt blow a couple weeks ago lol. and last year.

Im with valin and get rid of that track. wait no get a bigger track and tightin it up.

IM nervous to see how she runs fresh with shaved heads, my helix better come soon.

top speed is not my first priority. i like my track and i will not get rid of it. it grips the snow the way i want it too. i didn't ask for speed i asked how i could get a couple more horsepower out of the engine. it's true about the studs but i like the grip because i am an aggressive rider.

well ur studs are eating up hp and ur trail riding u don,t need that many studs un less u trail ride on the ice all the time lol , u don,t need studs to be an aggressive rider . get ur cdi box reprogrammed, phone hauck or bender on that one, thats good for 20 hp and thats leaving it stock just changing ur timing curve , the next biggest improvment will be blueprinnting ur chassi,

Wow 20 HP? thats hard to beleive, heard of reprograming but didnt know it gained 20 HP, why doesnt everyone that has a SRX get this done?

Just by the HYPER Tech programmer for your sled... 5 different settings up to 30 extra HP.>> ..lol sorry couldnt resist..

lolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll maybe some good wire from action give ya 10 hp.....

daman, you and I think the same. Just enjoy your sled and have fun. Best and fastest sled is a reliable sled.
How many times has your ( anyone's ) sled blown from what you think you have done to it to give you more HP.
Porting is good and fairly safe unless you can't get your jetting and we all know where that can lead to.
2 strokes for the most part run on the edge and can cost big $$$ if you don't do things right.

yep thats true ......i learn hard way lolll...burn 4 piston till now but still wanna go fast ...
