Hi I am new to this site and am looking for a little clutch help.I have an 02 srx stock except heelclicker hammertime 41-10 with a dalton 48/36 helix so my question is does anyone know how of a good starting point for these weights and helix as i have tried what was recomended 5g heel 5g tip and that was not working losing rpm on top end, so i moved the tip weight to the center and still losing on the top anyways any input would be greatly apreciated.

You really really really need to post some info on what your exact rpms are from a dead stop to full speed in order to get qualified help. I have used the hammertimes a lot so i have a good guess but thats all. You have too much heel weight. Remove 1 gram heel & in the tip & see where that gets you. next time you ask for clutching help please post your rpm,s.

hey sorry about that.my rpm's from dead stop wot are 85-86 and stay there till about 90mph then start dropping off.when i had 5g in the tip it would drop to 76 when i changed all 5g from tip to center it fall back to around 80 and my engagment is around 5000 if that matters.again sorry for not posting rpm's

Ok i am going to try this again and see if i can get it right lol, I have an 02 srx that is stock, heel clicker hammertime 40-10 weights red hc spring primary, dalton 48/36 helix with stock spring secondary, i tried 5g heel and 5g tip and found it pulled real hard bottom and mid rpm's from 8800 bottom to 8500 mid but at the top around 90mph it fell off to 7600-7700 when running 5g heel and 5g center it pulls hard also staying around 8500-8600 rpm's from bottom to mid but again around 90mph it fall back to 8000 rpm's not as bad but still not keeping it where it should be at 8500rpm all the way through. again any and all input gratly apreciated

ok am i asking the wrong questions here or what ............does no one have any idea about these weights? i have also been told these weights are not safe and can explode? anyone ?
Try taking more heel weight out, I dont run heel clickers, You see them mostly used in racing applications, drag racing... You may want to try a different setup for what you use the sled for..

DV8 you maybe be right, i use this sled for mostly trail riding but really like racing the bigger sleds and winning lol,i do not know much about these wieght except i have read if setup right they can really work good.if i remove heel weight wont my engagment go up? it is all ready around 5000 rpm's......sorry about all the questions but again just learning and have read so much its mind boggling lol
Add 1 gram heel & remove 2 grams from tip. You should be allmost bang on.

hmmmmm ok turk but in the doc that came with this kit it says never add more than 5g to the heel ????????
You may have to change your primary spring then, What color is your spring now?

You either need a spring with less preload force or you need to add more weight to the heel in order to get the engagment down and the low end rpms down. As for the top end rpm, you need to remove weight from the tip. Try two grams out of the tip to start with. If rpm's are still too low remove a little more. Keep good notes of conditions, the changes you make, and how it affects the shift. Rpms all the way through the pull are important. Also keep note of clutch temps.

Lightening the heel is going to make it over-rev even more on the bottom end and have even higher engagement. You aren't going to want to lighten the heel.

I find it it is alot easier to get a good setup from these great people if you pick one person to listen to and do what they say, otherwise you are all over the place. Now TURK has given you some advise, and if i were you id listen, he knows his stuff. Do whats recomended and if you dont like it report back and you will get some help. ALOT OF KNOWLEDGE IN THIS FORUM
