Hello all,
I have a 92 PhazerII-ST, its been a great running sled in the past but reciently started having some problems.
Once the engine is warmed up, there is a pretty horrible off idle bog. If I can get the RPMs over mid range, it runs great up through the rest of the idle range. But from idle to mid range its pretty pathetic. If it dies, it will only restart with the choke turned on, even when warm. If I flutter the choke while its bogging, it will help out the rpm's and get it above the bog.
I removed the carbs and carefully cleaned it out, re-assembled, made sure the black plugs are in the proper places. It seems to run good for a trip then the bog returns.
Ideas? I wonder if there is some grit in the tank that is plugging up the carbs over time. Getting frustrated with this sled, its been great for 7 years but just problematic this year.
