We had 2 identical sleds, both were jetted the exact same and the 1 burnt down. Why would this have happened? The other one even pulled the dead one 20 miles back. Had the good one checked out yesterday and they said it all looks good so we rejetted for here and rode it some more. Just wondering what some of the possibilities could have been. And since I know the fuel question will come up 1 was filled with true premium before we left and the other was filled with premium before we went up the mountain.

That's all that could have done it? It was a lean burn. And isn't the DCS designed to prevent that?

dcs will tell you when it is running lean. it does not compensate fully for this from my understanding. it will retard the timing but the operator must back off the throttle when he sees the light come on.

I was running my srx this morning and I didn't get far from hom and my number 3 cylinder went down. I think it is from bad gas, possibly because of ethanol. My tank was almst empty and it sat like that for two weeks maybe there was water in the tank?

I have a Cumberland Farms in my area that is in a bunch of trouble because of a number of cars that filled up are full of water. The store was brand new a couple of years ago, buyer beware.
