Just wondering how everyone peens the clutch rivets? I made a ghettoed rivet remover, but how do I squish them so they don't loosen? Can I squash them in a bench vise? Or is there an easier way? Any tips or tricks would be very cool!
Thanks, Shawn

I just flatten them out with a hammer, making sure as I go that I'm getting it flattened out evenly. That's what everyone told me to do when I asked the same thing when I first started doing them.

Thanks!
I just got some 4.5g rivets. going to try and get my revs down. Inoticed the 4.5g rivets are pretty long. should they be almost flattened or just tight enough to stay?

You have to make sure you flatten them out enough so they don't hit when the weight swings.

Ok thanks Yama! I'll give ita shot. I think I'm gonna try my bench vise.

700XT I would not use your bench vice to try and squish them...you are better off using a hammer, I changed some rivets yesterday, don't be afraid to come on to the hammer, it takes a bit of force to flatten them.
yup, just tried the vise. thats a no go! So I guess its the trusty ol hammah.
thanks guys!
