I'm looking to upgrade my suspension on my 98 SRX 700, Is the Viper skid a direct bolt on to mine? Also, is this the best, most affordable way to get more suspension travel, besides just swapping out the shocks?
I'm new to the sport and trying to learn. thx

viper suspension should bolt right up, but then you might want to long travel the front end too.

I guess what i'm trying to ask is, is there any benefit to swapping out the whole skid or is just replacing the shocks on my srx skid have the same effect. Also, if I want to utilize my Ohlins out front, do I just buy the adapters from the dude on the message boards? I have searched the boards but have not found any clear answers. Thx
To add the Viper shocks just install the 2 shocks and limiter straps from the Viper and you will have the same basic skid. You do need the longer straps for the longer shocks. Ohlins extensions are an easy way to add travel to the front.
or Hauck used to make some drop brackets that are really cheap for the front end. You dont gain any travel, it just corrects the geometry for the long travel rear

What he said ^^^,
just one thing to add though, the extensions give you more height on the front, not more travel.
There are shock shaft extentions that do add extra travel.Equalizer said:What he said ^^^,
