I want to do an early test run Friday with 8DN set up and 51/43 helix first to see if my sled performs better.

id gear my sled to go slower before i would gear it to go faster. they are geared to high in my opinion.

SORRY THERE JR,BUT I HAVE THE NEED FOR SPEED.FASTER IS BETTER
my 01 is stock gearing and I got 114mph on gps and the sled is bone stock. The 23/38 gearing is probably good to get around 117 118 mph. It is just a matter of will the sled pull it. I dont think gearing up would be good for lake running on snow because the engine will not pull it stock.

someone mentioned to me if one is using HC setup,that it likes the taller gearing.I don't know for sure.Just going by what I have heard.
let me know after ....i try taller gear with 8dn-00 with a 700 but didnt be able to pull the clutch so switch back to 24-39

i will wait and am going back to 8DN-20 setup first and see what happens.
great will wait for the result tomorow .... my fastest time was with 8dn-00
has anyone played wiht the 89a-10's and 24-38?
