What belt ?!?!OEM

I have a 1999 Plain Jane V-Max 500 No electric start or any of that fancy shit, what belt do I need 8CH-17641-00-00 or 8CJ-17641-00-00 ???? My sled looks like this, my old belt got thrown away so I dont know which one it is ... My sled looks like this..

Also on Portyamaha.com is my sled a VT500c or a VX500ERC or VX500SXBC

A regular VMAX 500 is a VX500C. It calls for a 89L-17641-01-00 belt. That VT is a venture, the erc one is electric start and reverse and the other one is an SX.

Where did you get that info at? 89L ?!?!? Huh? On the OEM chart it only had those 2 belts I listed above.

Whatever, I just ordered the 8CJ-17641-00-00 Thats what it said on Yamaha's site....

Oops sorry, the 89L is for a VX600. Your 500 takes the 8CJ-17641-00-00. I keep forgetting that they list parts for both under the same thing even though you pick the 500 or whatever.
