viper help

Hello I have a problem with my 04 viper.When it is cold or when I first start riding the sled runs fine but once it gets warmed right up it will start to surge and sputter at about 40mph the tach also seems to jump up and down.If I squeeze the throttle past this piont it seems to run fine it also seems to idle fine.Unless I go on a long lake run then it gets really bad and barly idles but still runs fine at higher rpm.Does this seem like a stator problem please help. Thanx.

check for bare wires, check your carbs and clean them and don't ride it until you find the fix. You could fry a piston if its in the carbs.
It seems that there is alot of burn ups lately.

I had a similar problem and it was plugged pilot jets in the carb. I had to use a torch tip clener to clean them properly.
