What size is a 433 piston out of a GPX with 50 stamped in it. Does this mean it is 50 thousands over. I thought it would be 050 if it was.

DUDE, NO. THIS HAS TO BE A YAMAHA PISTON AND THE '' 50 '' IS STAMPED IN THE MIDDLE AT THE TOP ? 3:16 (yammie tony)

YES. SEEN THAT '' 50 '' A HUNDRED TIMES ON YAMAHA PISTONS. THATS A CASTING NUMBER OR LOT. KEEP IN MIND, YAMAHA OVERSIZED GPX PISTONS ARE VERY HARD TO FIND. ALMOST EXTINT. IF THIS MOTOR WAS OVERSIZED, I BET THE RANCH IT WOULD HAVE WIESCO IN IT. 3:16 (yammie tony)
Yep. Wiesco 2280 was used .020 in GPX. Hey they will make you any piston you want at any count. Wiesco. I have the new srx 76/77 piston that is also used for .020 GPX. Call Aaen Performance. They can get what your looking for brand spanking new. It will cost $$$. Dean-o
pistons
My 338 GPX I just picked up has new pistons and rings. They are stamped .020 on top. So I guess they are 20 thousands over weisco replacements.

DON,T FRET, WIESCO WORKED GREAT IN GPX. BUT NOT WORTH A DAM IN 440 SRX UNLESS SLEVED , THAN YOU HAVE NO CHOICE. 3:16 (yammie tony)
Until now. The new 2008 Wiesco's made for the 76/77 srx's are awsom. Coated on top and are light weight. They have the new ring for nic cylinders. Super job by wiesco. Nothing like the old 2280. They are junk. Will see what power they make very soon. Dean-o

u guys want to get ride of piston problems u have to remove friction which causes heat then u need to put something on those pistons so they can take the heat and the only answer to that is swan tec ur pistons and heads swan tec means teflon coated, this elminates cold seizures which is a problem when u are making short runs wothrotle on a cold engine as cold engines make the most horse power, and this is not expensive just my 2 cents Al Larson
Al,
Your right. When you buy the new 76/77 srx pistons from Aaen they coat the tops. But I'm thinking about coating the heads also. Thanks Dean-o
