i just converted my 600 triple to a 700 and and i am going to run the 600 carbs for a couple of weeks until i get my 33's. what base line jetting should i start with on the 31's so i dont burn it down right away? as of right now i'm running 147.5 mains and 45 pilots(from the 600), and i have a set of 157.5's sitting here as well. i want to keep it on the fat side for break in.

well i put the 157.5 mains in and the 45 pilots with the fuel screws out 2.5 turns for the inital fire up, pretty dang fat. what my main question is should i be jetting leaner/richer/ or the same as if i had the tm33's on there? thanks in advance-

I think with the 33's you should run no more than 152.5 with the open element air filters. I was running 148.6 and 52.5 in my 98 700sx with the PSI triple pipes. With my other 700 '00 I run it with 145 main and the stock 47.5 pilot and it ran fine always with a set of PSI triples. I think your fuel screw should be no more than 2.25 turns out.

got to put about 20 miles on last night and checked the plugs at idle mid and wot. and the pistons are still shiny here is a crappy pic of the plugs, it took a dozen pics and this is the best one i could get. :letitsnow and keep snowing!
