My '78 ET250B project sled is finally running. It will run great for 10-15 minutes but will start to bog bad and run bipolar. If I shut it off and let it cool for a while I can get it running good again. One thing thats still not perfect is the sight tube that is on the carb. Mine is the original and has some cracks and leaks slightly. If the bog condition isn't being caused by that vent/sight tube leak, could it be symptomatic of bad crank seals? Ive never had a sled with leaking crank seals so I don't know the general symptoms. I know any leak at the carb should cause a vacuum loss to the diaphragms inside, but that should cause a consistant bog not one that comes after time.
