What should the compression on a 99 Yamaha vmax 500 be? The sled has lost a lot of its pep and was going to check this first. If it not that I have no idea where to go next. Carbs?

120+ would be a good start. If the 2 cylinders are within a few pounds of each other that is something also to be concerned with. What kind of mileage is on the motor?
