what are some of you guys gettin for gas milage with your sxr 500/600/700...i don't seem to be getting that great with my 500...or else my fuel gauge is off...which is possible too

In my camp that is the worst word among us. Fuel mileage !! Drat !!
99 Phazer 500= 12 -13 MPG
00 SXr 700 Piped = 10 - 11
99 Vmax 700 Piped = 10 - 11
06 Attak = 12 - 13
08 Phazer = 13 - 14
All $hitty IMO but we all accept the same with our $ 50,000 vehicles.
In the day we filled the truck, 2 sleds all for $ 60.00. Never imagined a sled tank full of fuel costing $ 30.00 - $ 40.00 and we fill three times a day on average.
We had a 99 500 Vmax in the group that got 8 - 10 and a 96 Vmax 500 that sucked the stuff at 6 - 8 MPG. Go for a three cylinder Vector for anything over 15 MPG. I have heard of 20 + MPG on them.

1998 V-Max 500 got 8 to 9mpg tops.
1998 V-Max 700 triple gets 13 to 14 mpg.
2000 SX700R triple gets 13 to 14 mpg too.

97 600 twin venture gets no better no worse than about 10 mpg(even w smart carbs).

Bruce sings out Yippie Kiye MotherF***ker and lights the fuel.If there is a hole in your tank and leaves a line on the snow,I'll ride behind you with my propane torch and give you a launch you will never forget.Ever see a Vmax take it to the limit like it had wings.UP UP and AWAY in that beautiful ,that beautiful max. 1997 700SX with Power Inc rear dump triples and Dial a Jets.
15 mpg on the last ride, temps were 15*F with hardpacked smooth trails.
