cofused about pv

i recently removed my entire pv assambly from the sled.one of the cables was broke.anyway installed a new cable,cleaned everything good.when reading the manual for adjustment specs it says to have 2-3.5 mm.i see in the pic where that is measured,however is that with the motor and everything uninstalled or other?are you telling me these only move 2 to 3.5 mm of stroke or is that just freeplay?
 
ok so when the engine shuts off,does the servo motor pull the valve open?or say you just remove the motor ,what position does it stay in?i have to move the cable adjusters way out to get to 2.5mm.
 
i looked at your link.thanks im curious though about initial startup,whats a good starting point?again i have to adjust cables way out to get 2.5mm.

i have went up against one, beat it on start off, was ahead until its top end was gaining on me, apexs are fast fourstrokes, srx held its ground..... srx will pull good till about 100+
 
I've gone up against a couple and that's exactly what happens, srx's pull violently out of the hole then about 100 the apex will move on.

I think the pv open at about 5000 rpm's don't they??
 
cool just curious my pal just bought a stock 03 and claims he s gonna smoke me.however he had a 99 t cat before and could only get me after 110!
