I just put an m-10 in my 02 viper and would like to get the front end 1 or 2" higher. What are my options? I thought about welding some extra metal on the "U" side of the shock, but not sure if I want to do that. My other idea was to move the lower shock mount on the trailing arm in towards the bell pan like 1" which would give a 2" lift. But I don't want it tippy. I've also heard about putting a longer shaft in the shock. I do need my shocks rebuilt. What do ya think? What would be the best route? Thanks.

unfortunately the wat the Vipers are your options are limited. I've heard of putting a different bulkhead in so you could use the old style mounts and use either a drop bracket or a longer shock with an eye on each end. Only other option is to custom fab a set of brackets like I did. Search my username if you want. I fabbed a set for a set of Fox FLOATs.

You need to be careful using longer shocks or aything that changes the bump steer. I learned the hard way, it doesn't work. If you add longer shocks you need to widen the fron, and then it sits the same. Maxdlx

I've let this idea go a while , but still want the front to sit up higher. I don't like the nose being tiped down. M-10 in back. Basicly I just want the sag taken out of the shocks then it would sit how I want it. Do I need a second little spring in there, or how can I do this? How did the 02 -03 viper snowcross sleds get theres to sit higher?

What about customizing the spindle length on your trailing arms so that all of your radius arms and shocks still have the same geometry, but the skis are just 1-2 inches lower which would in turn raise your front end. Maybe just build custom ski mounts for your spindles. I want to raise the front end of mine as well to eliminate some of the snowplowing over the big bumps.

I raised the front of my sons Polaris 340 about 1.5" with a set of upper shock mount drop brackets. I got them from my Yami dealer. They were for a VIPER, he ordered them from a universal catalog that he had. I can't find the receipt or I could give you the P/N. They're chrome and bolt into the upper shock mount where the top of the shock bolts in.

"Parts Unlimited" maybe?!?

I'll have to check that out. If you get a part number or remember where you got them let me know. Thanks.

I dont really think you can, lie maxdlx said..... its one of the things I dont like about the m-10. I went with a mono for that reason, among others :) try cranking the springs all the way hard in the front, may level it out a little?? how bad is it?

What are the " Works" gasser ski shocks Like? Would that help make the front sit higher? They look nice. They run $439.00 new.

i have a set of Works front shocks listed on the classified section for $225 shipped. yes, they will raise your front end and ride much better than the stock shocks. i think they would fit your bill perfectly.
