im trying to get my 700 dialed in but am having some trouble. im aiming for a setup that has good out of the hole punch and strong midrange, im not worried about going over 100 mph. my main riding consists of ditch banging/ driveway jumping and river running with alot of open water, with just a bit of trailriding.i go about 165 lbs. geared up. i need this thing to backshift really well for those back to back jumps and drifts.i keep hearing you need to get target rpm dialed in with the primary, but where do you set the secondary twist as a starting point, since it will change my rpm once i get the primary close.
heres what i have-
8ca weights - assortment of rivets
Y-G-Y primary spring
Y-S-Y primary spring
silver secondary spring
pink secondary spring
green hauck secondary spring
51/43 helix
stock helix not sure what it is labeled 8bv 86 70
i can get any oem clutch parts pretty easily so if i need to get something different its no big deal.
any suggestions geatly appreciated !

You got a lot done to the sled and motor...What are your rpm...engagement..when you pin it and wot? Have you looked in the tech section? What are your pipes suppose to run at(Target RPM)? All these things matter!!!!

engagement is about 4400, these pipes are supposed to run about 9000. i've checked the tech section and there is no combo with the hauck/cpr pipes. thanks
Your gonna need a helix about a 46/40ish for those 8ca,s to work.

I would listen to turk!!! Clutch master!!! But if I was you I would do the www primary 8dn-20 loaded with your 51/43 and the green secondary at like 80 or so for a lot of back shift. Same setup as a srx because you are making that much power but wrap up the secondary for the backshift!!!
Those pipes make good power but won,t pull a lot of weight/helix. i had a set. They need about the same clutching as a stocker running 8400 rpm,s. The Bender & power inc,s will pull way more aggressive clutching but those pipes won,t.

Are you saying that power inc's give alot more torque?

Turk- would you recomend keeping the 8ca's or going with something different with these pipes?thanks
They Hauck/cpr pipes have good torque but due to the design of em they need different clutching. They just won,t pull a lot of weight/helix but they still work fine. I had good luck using 8ab weights...same profile as a 8ca but lighter.

if i change to the 8ab weights will one of my helixes work for me or do i still need to go shallower. i will get those weights coming tomorow morning. i've been just putting up with this problem for two years and am VERY appreciative for the information received here. you guys rock!
51/43 should work with some tip weight with the 8ab,s.
