I am having trouble with the fuel screws on my viper. I will adjust them to the 2-5/8 turns out needed for my pipes, but after like 10-15 miles, they vibrate in.....leaning out my low end mixture and then create a high 4000 rpm idle that hangs and never drops. I'll check the carbs again and sure enough, the fuel screws turned in a 1/8 turn or a little more. what can I do to stop this.....teflon tape, low strength loctite, a little silicone? its almost like its not on the spring anymore from being out so far.

Next bigger pilot maybe, stretch the springs, couple extra wsahers, 2 orings, which is what I do.

Ever have one fall out!!!not good...lose all your fuel, plus a possible fire!!!like they said go up in mains & set f/screw to 1.5/1.75...

Hey I bought my 02 Viper used three years ago and I think the last guy had the same trouble with the screws moving around. He must have super glued them suckers in because I can't get them to turn!! :o|

curious. what pipes require 2 5/8? who gave you that spec?

I have the aaens. they were purchased from hauck and they said that was the spec to have them set at. I put in 47.5 pilots and had the fuel screws then set at the stock spec of 1-7/8 turns. that was still to lean. so maybe I need to put the fuel screws at 2-1/8 to 2-1/4 turns or something?
