I am having trouble with the fuel screws on my viper. I will adjust them to the 2-5/8 turns out needed for my pipes, but after like 10-15 miles, they vibrate in.....leaning out my low end mixture and then create a high 4000 rpm idle that hangs and never drops. I'll check the carbs again and sure enough, the fuel screws turned in a 1/8 turn or a little more. what can I do to stop this.....teflon tape, low strength loctite, a little silicone? its almost like its not on the spring anymore from being out so far.
New springs or remote adjuster kit.
Next size bigger pilot and set the screw in to 1.5 turns or so.

Next bigger pilot maybe, stretch the springs, couple extra wsahers, 2 orings, which is what I do.

I've always been told that if you have to go out more than 2 turns, go to next larger pilot...

i thought of stretching the springs and maybe adding another washer or o-ring too
Ever have one fall out!!!not good...lose all your fuel, plus a possible fire!!!like they said go up in mains & set f/screw to 1.5/1.75...

Don't stretch the spring, do this the right way and change your pilots..

Yup 2 5/8 is too far,try going up on the pilot then back to 1 1/4-1 1/2 out..

Hey I bought my 02 Viper used three years ago and I think the last guy had the same trouble with the screws moving around. He must have super glued them suckers in because I can't get them to turn!!

I have the aaens. they were purchased from hauck and they said that was the spec to have them set at. I put in 47.5 pilots and had the fuel screws then set at the stock spec of 1-7/8 turns. that was still to lean. so maybe I need to put the fuel screws at 2-1/8 to 2-1/4 turns or something?

if you need you fuell screws out more then 2 or 2 1/4 turns out I would start looking at bigger pilot jets.
