Last time out at the radar runs (3000') I had a lot of track spin 3/4 of the way down the track. One run it actually got a little sideways on me and I had to lift, lol. Looking for simple tips to improve traction using my 1" Predator with 144 trail studs down the middle.

Drop the front end down with some straps would help get some more weight on the front of the track.Tighten the centre spring might help as well. You could throw lots of transfer into it but will slow you down on top but would be better than spinning.I miss the 3\4 track with 160 1 inch picks all over for hooking up on ice.Am running the same as you have now hopeing it will last longer.
Transfer was at the max during those passes. Was actually thinking about backing it off the next time, lol. Centre spring is at least 3/4 preload, not sure much more would help. Perhaps I should try everything a little softer next time....hmmm?

Back off spring pressure on front shocks to drop front of sled down, pull front limiter straps on rear skid all the way up, then squat the rear of the sled down by having a couple guys stand on rear of machine and add spacers to the bottom of the transfer rods to hold this position. The sled should look slammed to the ground with added track on the ground. This should put you close..
Interesting. I'm tring to keep it trail friendly, so I'm not sure about the slammed look, but I will certainly give those other inputs a go. I'm guessing that if I don't slam the rear, that I should set the limiter to level it out?
