What about the Ohlins up front, haven't seen too many disagree with my opinion on the Viper S. Like I said to you 01, wish the 04 was just easier to stud a bit...A good buy on the 03's no doubt, but look around the web to see what else you can get....
Take a look on Ebay Motors, seems like I saw some Great deals not far from you there!

I tried looking on their website, I don't see it posted. That would be a screaming good deal! I wonder if they would take a trade too??
The only Viper that came with Ohlins from the factory was the 04 Viper S.Viper S said:What about the Ohlins up front, haven't seen too many disagree with my opinion on the Viper S. I personally dont think it is a very good deal for a new 03. Maybe for a collector, but not for a ridable sled. I bought my 04 Viper S new towards the end of the 04 season for $6300 plus tax and title. Just my opinion!

$5000+ for a New 03 Viper IMO is NOT worth it. Reason why as soon as you put miles on it the value off the sled will longer be worth anywhere near 5g's.
If I was to drop that kinda coin Id be putting a down payment on a 4 stroke or be putting some heavy coin into a sled I already own.

You know I was sitting here last night thinking that exactly. I am going to call them as soon as I can to see if they will let them go for less. It might be worth it to me cause I would get a sled with no miles to enjoy for a longer period of time. But the book value the second its out the door with me would be half what I paid for it right off the bat.. decisions..decisions...

I agree with last couple of posts, look on Ebay Motors under Yamaha snowmobiles and see what you can get for $5000. You'll be surprised, and sometimes they are BETTER deals than new (even warranty)... Just for kicks Google Yamaha Viper S, see what you get!

Put this into your prespective.....Im driving over 600 miles(round trip) to pick this sled up for much less than that New 03 Viper. You tell me whats a better deal even though were talking new VS. used.

Well with the Viper getting parted do to a long awaited project, it has to be replaced by something sweet and what better than a sled built by MadMatt/MRVIPER.
SHHH $150....thats if Im lucky. But I got my g/f to come along to help out with the drive and trip in general. Should be an adventure since Ive never been that far east before, if I get lost thats why I got OnStar.

We got 2 left over 05 Viper Mtn.'s for $4300 a piece so I would say that price is a little to high for them.

well what do you guys think those two sleds are worth then??
A good used one would range from 3-3500(IMO) so I would say low 4's for the new one would be fair. To me its just not worth paying $5100-5600 for a 5 1/2 year behind-the-times sled. Dont get me wrong, I love my Viper. But Im willing to admit its short-commings,the Pro-Action being number 1 on the list and the trailing arm front being next.

Find out what they would be worth once you're out the door. $3500? Is a $1500-$1800 loss worth a 1 year warranty? I don't think the other sleds you've looked at would have repairs that much-even with a blown engine! I'd take a hard look at those sweet deals on the TY site that are near you! Some even have the updates...
Also, in the $4000 range this will not be a short term investment sled. You will have to own it for awhile to reap the rewards of buying a brand new sled for such a low price.

That seems high. I would look around a bit. Your going to take a huge hit the second you drive away with it! I was looking at leftover 07's for 7K. Thats not as bad because the 09's really have not changed all that much, but still...no matter what, you take a loss....

talked to them again today. Said that is as low as they can afford.. I said you have two 6 year old sleds still sitting there that are very outdated now and that is as low as you will go, lol. They said they also had 2 05 rx-1s, an 05 rx1 se, 2 04 ventures (vmax style), 3 05 vectors, 06 nytro, and 06 warrior. All of them were right around 7k, besides the vipers.. Doesnt seem like they know how to sell anything at all... very nice to talk with though.. seems beyond stupid to me to turn down someone who will unload the oldest of your way outdated overstocked leftovers.. even if your losing alittle..

I think they do take trades. I was looking on their site as well and they only had a phazer listed under used. This Viper was new and I saw it with my own eyes...They may have sold it. Not surprising with the price tag that was on it. You might have to call them to get info. extremepower-sports.com
