run srx with 1 power valve out????

Come on Jim.....what did you do ? By the way it's not a good idea to run it without a powervalve. Just my 2 cents.

valveless

I got one on the way it is just not here yet.
I wanted to move the sled from the garage to the shed and there is too much snow in the yard to drag it there. Im not goin on a hundred mile ride.

I have actually ran mine with one valve gone, don't remove it though!! I know it's not right but it will run fine, just has no top end since valves don't open till about 5000 RPM's. This info I got from a reputable yamaha mechaninc. I took his word and ran a whole day. I'm sure just bringing it to the shed will cause it no harm, I put on about 200 miles on it that way.

I've run them with a cable pulled through before. I have also taken the valve completely out and run all day. I wouldn't do it by choice, but you can run it without causing damage.

When i bought Tomseal6 brothers srx. There wasn't even a powervalve in one cylinder.

It will run fine without one, especially just out to the shed, we had a guy blow one up, up north and munched the valve, we had a jug but no valve, so we left it out, he drove it all week, leaked a little, probably because there was too much pressure on the cap without the valve in the seal, other than that a wot you couldn't tell the diff.

not a problem saw one break a cable and the valve slid down and the piston just about cut it in half. too much porting. locked the motor up hard at about 75 mph, pulled head picked out the pieces put back together ran the rest of the weekend and didnt really seem to affect it much still seemed to pull hard was still outrunning a 03 xc edge 600.
