Hey guys, last time i went out sledding i noticed that at WOT my dcs would blink.... I had this problem fixed at the end of last season and had no issues with it at all. Now I have changed everything, mrviper porting and a 50/38 helix... My question is can the dcs be set off due to an over rev??? Just a quick question, thanks in advance for the help

from all the testing I have done from HC's back to 8DN's...from launching at standstill to over reving as much as 8900,my DCS has not been a problem at all.I jetted my 02 SRX to 01 specs also.Tried different size pilots also..but DCS is staying off.Even when at wot for over a mile,light stays off.Again most of the time your issue will be from the gas you are using and that is it my friend

maybe those clutch make the motor torque to mutch or make sure those power valve work perfectly

not from overrev ,mine right now is running at 8900.....it is a deto sensing system ,gas or garbage in your carbs ( or lean jetting of course)

okay guys thanks a lot.... just wondered is all, carbs are spotless, powervalves are clean and adjusted, will check them though b4 i go and test.... will also check piston wash.

I know for a fact that last year it was a clutching issue that was setting it off thats the only reason i asked if an over rev could make the dcs go off

clutching!!!!!!=DCS ??????

clutching should really have nothing to do with it.It is basically your fuel quality and or jetting.With all the clutch set ups I have done from Hc's to 8DN...my DCS never came on.I re-jetted up 1 and solved everything while using premium gas always.I run a water eliminator device in the tank and use Sea Foam also.I am so happy compared to last season when I bought the sled..the DCS was going off always.Not this year,warm or cold temps,pinning from a standstill to WOT..it was staying off for me.

what does sea foam do for you?

According to the 02 update book, modifying the head might cause the dcs not to work properly. As for clutching and dcs, I've experienced that with 2 different clutch set ups on the same day and temp, the other would cause it to blink much more than the other set up.

Why not? Clutch is attached to the crank and if it cause a vibration it could certainly set off the DCS. I bet a bad belt would set off DCS too.

Both times my DCS would blink, it was pulled through powervalves. Replace them all and clean them 3-4 times a season. haven't seen the light since, even on 3-4 miles of WOT.
