Hey everyone, I am needing to replace the muffler gasket on my 2002 SRX 700. this is the one at the end of the pipe that seals into the muffler (well i have a hauck growler can now) mine is leaking due to it being worn i guess. But my question is, has anyone used anything other than the OEM YAMAHA gasket part number #8DF-14714-10-00. It retails for $47.11 and the two local dealers in my area do not have it in stock. and i really need it, but before i order it i would like to know if there is a sustitute at a cheaper price obviously. please let me know guys, any information is greatly appreciated.

The donuts on the end of the pipes right? When adding a can it may be necessary to adjust the end of the pipes so they don't leak.

Nope, to my knowledge no one(i looked into this issue as well last year for
the other ones)has found any(auto motive, etc.) that would work.
you can get on line and shop around to find a better price but then your
talking more time..

Yama49601,
You've got great prices. I just compared the prices of several parts which I get from my local dealer who gives my 16% off. Your prices are much better!! I'll have an order coming your way shortly.

Thanks but that's not my site. I wish it was. I've just spent countless hours looking for the best prices for parts.

I Agree! if you don't mind waiting, this is the cheapest place on the planet for powervalves too!!!

There is another place with very good prices called Surdyke Yamaha. I always check both places and we have ordered a few thousand dollars worth of stuff from them now (Surdyke). I just found Cycle Parts Warehouse this year. We've ordered so much stuff from Surdyke now that they don't charge us shipping anymore. We call in the orders instead of ordering online. You wouldn't believe how much much money we've saved doing this.
