I ordered some electronics from Mountain Perf. for setting the power valves. Bender used to offer this electronic tool as well. Basically you connect the electronic unit up to a 12V battery then plug the power valve electrical connection into it. I suppose it opened the power valve so you could adjust the cable. Anyway, Mountain Perf. just called me to tell me they discontinued this item. Does anybody have the electrical schematic for this tester? Has anyone used this tester and if so, does it make a difference? No that my riding is done for the year I want to start getting the sled ready for next year. Thanks!!

YPVS Tester
Take any 12V battery and just connect the positive wire from battery to the two red wires on the test inlet on the sled. Then, connect the black wire to the other connection. I STRONGLY suggest you to fuse your red wire with a 5 Amp fuse. That should make your ypvs fully open.

Just drop the idle down to 800 RPM and the servo will activate. I have no idea why people waste their time and money going the electrical route. Guess it's the only way to do it if you have the pipes off, perhaps that's why.

To open your valves you can do it two ways like said above...
1-idle your motor down to 900 or less
2-use a harness made up easy to do and free.
either way works good and opens them the same,i like using the harness
(i have a nice one made up with a 5A fuse)that way you don't have to
start the sled and get smoked out,or if pipes are off, etc..
you really only need to do it once, because once you set your servo(either
way)you make a corresponding mark on the servo pulley and the housing(i use a sharpie)then when ever you need to adjust you just turn the servo pulley counter clock wise till the two marks line up,then start adj. the pv's no need to start the motor OR use the harness..
