project venture 500

i've got a line on a few late 90's venture 500 2 ups neither one runs but i can get them for about $100-

i figure the engines need rebuilt and everything gone thru shouldn't be a real issue i can do most of the work myself except having the cranks gone thru. the bodys are in real good condition?

so has anyone mod'd a venture 500 into a mountain sled? i'm thinking 151x2 tracks, gearing, clutching etc? i'd think they'd get around alright?

what are they worth if i try and resale once they're running in stock form and is there even a market for them?

sure, do it. but you might as well drop a set of 600 cylinders on the 500 to make them have some more power, esp for a long track with bigger paddles.

These are LC 500 ventures, and not FC ones right?

IIRC, there is a guy witha FC venture that made his into a mountain sled.

hey thanks for the suggestion and now you have me thinking. and yes they are lc

which 600 cylinders match up with the 500? what else needs to be replaced and done? where can i find such things?
