If you can find me a Gsx-R 750 with very low miles, or better y et new perferable 1 year old.... then let me know when you want to go to kenosha... i'm more concerned with getting me actualy license for riding a motorcycle..... Its nice to know i don't need to have my temps to get my license, but it always would help to practice.....
yeah, Ace powersports has hooked me up in the past. They always have good deals as well. I am talking a new 08 gsxr750, which has been redesigned for 08. If you still want an 07 next year, they might have one, or can easily find you one.
btw, that yellow/ black 03 TLR came from ACE, and so did the owners previous 03 blue/ white Tiller.
My hook up Tom has left as a sales guy (had a TLS as well), but I am sure anyone there can get you a good deal.
Their service dept hooked me up with a free new frame from suzuki for my 97 back in 04. Suzuki had a deal with the NHTSA to give new frames free of charge (labor too to swap it all over) since they had a frame cracking issue on the 97 TLS. But this covered only the original owner. Suzuki would not budge on the original owner fine print. Since I wasn't the original owner, Ace told me that if I could take the bike down to a rolling chassis they would do the work, and more importantly, get me a new updated frame that was worth $3000. So I took the entire bike apart, left the f/r suspension and wheels on, and a week later, they handed me my new frame, with my front and rear suspension on it, with new head bearings and seals, and new swingarm bearings for under $150.00.
smokin deal, I tell ya, and for that I tend to give them as much business as possible, even though their prices are always good enough as it is to drive down there.
IMHO, they are one of the best dealers in the state, and they carry quite an extensive lineup of toys..... yamaha, honda, polaris, suzuki

msrp for the 08 750 is 10,600, but I know they will go way less than that.
When you are ready, let me know...

Tempting..... the only problem is, i wouldn't wanna drive all the way to kenosha to get a tune up, when i can go to Cedar Creek Motorsports, which is five miles away...... but we will see........ I'm thinking used bike now....... NEw probably isn't smart as a first bike, Considering i need to get a car, and pay for the insurance, and gas, not like i havn't been doing that already with the car i use... But under my own name.....

you can get a tune up anywhere that sells that brand (when new).
But really any tune up usually at 600 miles is a total waste of $$, and is not required to keep any warranty in effect.
Basically most 600 mile tuneup/ checkups are chain tightening and lubing. They also verify no bolts/ parts are coming loose, and that is about it.
Used is probably a better idea for a first bike, I fully agree. But if you plan on dropping full price for a used bike, then why buy used? You can get a really nice 03-05 gsxr 750 used in perfect shape for 6-7k no problem, maybe less. but you could also find something for less $$ and you will be more than happy with it.
Heck, I paid 4500 for my TLS in 03 with 6000 miles on it and I have been extremely happy with it. I still would be happy with the bike, but PO'd at suzuki if I was not able to get the frame replaced fro free
Check out Corse superbikes if you want a suzuki, since they are a Suzi dealer, while cedar creek is a honda dealer. Not that it matters too much, they do a good job there but I hate it when I get a tire mounted at cedar creek and on the receipt for the kind of bike it says "honda" TLS LOL.

Yea, Cedarcreek has a 2004 Gsx-R750 with 7000 miles on it for 7000.... They say they usually always get some gixxers in used.... so when i'm actually going to buy a bike.....I'll check with them, Craigslist has alot of good choices to choose from too.....
Its not a matter of IF i am getting a bike, just a matter of when....

gsxr's are popular bikes, so finding one next year will not be an issue.
You won't need a valve adjustment until like 16k or so, so on a used bike, you really don't need any service that you can't do yourself.
You can do your own valve adjustment, but finding the right sized shims is a PITA, so I always take them in for that. Now if you buy a valve shim assortment, you can do it yourlef, but most bikes only get it done 1x in their lifetime, so, IMHO, it is a waste to buy a shim set.
I would check craigslist, you can usually get a much better deal on used stuff than from a dealer.
