update!! project= lightweight venture 500 2up mtn sled? help need info

i just purchased (2) 1998 venture 500 2 ups. one has a seized motor and the other i'm not totally sure of yet. i've been riding and building a mod'd rx1 mtn and this oppurtunity just sort of fell in my lap. so i've decided to take 1 of the sleds a build a lw backup or secondary mtn sled for friends and guest. plus something i can put miles on early and late season and not tear up my other sled. the other i'm leaving bone stoke.

i don't see this as a real difficult project but i've got a few questions. i know a lot has been done with the phazer years ago but what about the 500 lc?

goal
lw boondocking sled that can break trail in pow pow.

i'd like to convert it to a 600, w/ pipe, clutching, 151x2 track, etc.

-which 600 cylinders can be swapped onto a 97 or 98 500 lc
-given the cylinder swap what else needs to be done
-what size is the drive shaft and whiich 8th drivers fit this model?
-how much difference do reeds make?

i'm looking for the following performance parts (used), reeds, pipe, 600 cylinders, 8th drivers, tunnerl ext, and anything else that'll give her some pop!

I am pretty sure a 500 and 600 LC in those proaction chassis years is exactly the same bottom end, and maybe the same crank. It may be as simple as a cylinder/ piston/ head swap to a 97-98 600 twin

8t drivers are an easy option, I nearly did that to my 97 600 venture, until I found a 1" track used, and studded that. a 1.25 ripsaw studded would have been very close.

do the reed notch mod, apparently it snaps the motor up a bit. do the headgasket mod while you are in there.

I might do the reed notch myslef this summer/ fall on mine.
 
I sent you back an email, I had gone up north to pick up my sleds and ride for a day. I have the 8T drivers also

the goal was a 'lw budget venture mtn', and it'll mainly be used as a backup and early/late season sled. most of the parts have been purchased used besides the engine work. it's nearly ready to pull out of the garage but i'm looking for additional hp mods any body have parts collecting dust?

so far;
600 cylinders and pistons
thinned head gasket
reeds
159x2 camo track w/ tunnel and rail ext
8" rear wheels
extro drivers
bar riser and cable extensions

wish list
twin pipes, what brand and years will work on this sled?
m7 suspension
airbox mod?
etc

i'll post a few pics in the future
