what year?
I used to run 146.3, 146.3, 147.5 on mine, with 45 pilots. That was on my 2001, with stock pipes, stock motor, and stock airbox.

depends on if your motor is stock or not, temps, and riding conditions.
I think the stock jetting on all SRX's is lean.
My motor is ported so I need to run 155 PTO and 153.8 center and mag.
Lots of ethanol in the gas today so you may have to step up 2 more sizes from stock on a stock motor to be on the safe side, especially if you like to run WTFO all the time. Im sure Tony will chime in.

seems like it loads up when temps are in the upper 20's or lower 30,s, not really load up but just isn't crisp.
You clean the carbs regulary? Not being crisp could be alot of things. IE clutches not dialed in, dirty carbs, air leak, reed valve, bad fuel. Have you donr some basic checks and see what clutching you have ring now? Have you checked to see what size jets and needle clip position your at?
SRX's like fuel and have a pretty broad fuel curve. You can really dump the fuel in these sleds if needed. Also, is your choke adjusted properly? Basic checks..

What year that make a big difference?
If you have jetting in it that's good to say -15F and are running it at +30F its not going to be as crisp. You can either jet for the conditions each day or ride it and wish it was colder out.

it is a 2000 with stock jets and the carbs have been cleaned
I wouldn't go any leaner on the 2000 srx's unles your speed running or ice draging.
I ran 142.5 mains in 0 degree weather but that was speed running 1000ft and checking piston wash and tunning on radar.

i agree with pro116 on the jetting. don't go any leaner unless its 30 deg feren out. they you could probably drop 1 size on all 3 when its like 30 out, but personally, i would just leave it alone and ride.

We have run 2000 ft speed runs with our stock 2000 SRX 700 jetted down 3 sizes from stock across the board.. Made a few longer pulls racing down the lake with the same set up. Stock eng, and air box, temps around 1-2 degs C. Sled ran, and still runs great... No problems..
If you need to go leaner because its warm outside, just run 89 (mid-grade fuel) no need to re-jet on the trail. If its even warmer out, say 40ish or so, run 87
