Two weekend trips and one five day trip. Over 800 miles. Lost heated grip on second trip. Just got back into riding 3 years ago and we all agree it was the best year ever in northern Wisconsin. Bought a used 700 and went through it after first trip. Best money I every spent.

Well this year has been the best around my area in a very long time i could have done alot more but i had a little accident and broke my collar bone but I still got just over 4000kms 2400miles on my ported SRX. Damage report was a broken front shock in the suspension, broken w-arm 3 bearings in the rear 3 sets of sliders and a set of carbides and a bent radious rod.
My 2000 SRX got about 1500 kms this year from my son and myself and there has been no damage on that one just a broken stud on one of the carbides that i noticed last weekend. I started the season at the end of November up in Mt-Valin Quebec and i am not done yet. I'm going to pick up a new 4-stroke this weekend and would like to ride in May so that i can say that i rode in 7 months this year. But was really 5 whole months. Still lots of snow up north guys

Best season I've ever had. Great snow conditions and it came early and left late. I put 1409 miles on the vmax, and I bought a skidoo rev three weeks or so ago already put 230 miles on that, so 1639 total miles for me this season. Only carnage was my right front control arm collapsed on itself. Still straight on the inside but somehow the outer layer met up with the inner. Didn't happen until second to last ride though. Other then that just need all the basics.. hyfax carbides, belt etc. Great season. It's been in the 60's the last couple days now, but up north I hear there is still alot of snow.. to warm to ride I think though so I'm done for the season. Already miss my sleds, lol!!

It sounds like there were very good conditions across much of the North American snowbelt. We needed it. The last good year here was 1999/2000. Since then, there was very little snow every year.
It should have helped the industry and I heard that there were good sales during the season. At a place I was at on the sled the bar owner remarked that if we get another good snow year next year, it will really help everything snowmobile related and people will again start buying sleds like they used to.
That will probably be true. We had so many low snow years that people will still be reluctant to buy sleds after one good year. One more like this would really help.
