We have been playing around on the lake running the radar gun with some good results....
Harness Racer with his SRX 600 ran a 114.8MPH
DHSRX with his SRX 700 ran a 120.8MPH
Me with my SXR 700 ran the slowest with a 113MPH

What a beautiful day on the lake.

well now I will have to say what happened........i replaced the track this year and I guess when I tightened tha track i really ate my spinish or had too many beer...the track was soooo tight that you could play banjo with it.....AND...my park brake had one of the pads that was rubbing against the brake rotor....between the sliders sticking with tha track so tight and the pad rubbing it was really slowing me down. This has been slowing me down since the track install about 5 weeks ago....oh well...Harness you will get VERY familiar with my tail light now...lol....if we can get one good day to run the ice, I am predicting around a 116 for my SXR.
 
Where are you guys running?? Would like to get out one more time...I'm headed to the sportsmans show with sleds in tow and will be going out to Wahnapitae Lake.. Hope there are a few sleds out there...
 
Jabber , we were out at witson lake , nobody else on the lake this morning , we could only do 2 pass each on the frozen 1 inch surface , as soon as the ice brakes away from shore and lets the 6 inches of water underneath, the 2 ft. of ice it will be faster. We may go out again thursday morning around 7 am , the weather looks like -3 cel. overnight .
 
DHSRX WHERE WERE you this morning , Yami did a good run , i was 2.5 mph slower than sat and he ran 113 mph . Thursday morn looks good.
 
We just got off the lake.. Very wet crystalized snow on top.. Ice has not broken away from shore yet.. I'd love to get out Thursday but I'm at a convention for work in T.O. on Thur/Friday.. I'm hoping to get a chance to run next weekend if thing firm up one night. Let me know if you run next weekend? I'm in if you do!!!!
 
Hey guys, I really like to get out there Thursday morning. I will need the wife to crutch her way to the bus stop with the kids though. Call me Wednesday night. If we get lucky with some cold nights I would like to do a few runs on the weekend.

The conditions yesterday we not good and we only did 1 run....Vince called but there was no answer...so far the weather is coldest of Friday....-4 in the morning.
 
Hey DH if your wife needs help getting her cr?tch to the bus maybe your brother in law can help while were on the lake .......lol.......
 
at lest you guys where out having fun. heard someone running on whitewater on sunday morning while i was doing some yard work/getting bikes out.
 
I was out at Gerry Gauthier 's house on whitewater tonight and his neighbour said he went pike fishing and it took 27 inch of the auger to get through the ice ... Your welcome to come out with us if you like , 705-969- 0724 , vince ..

love to go guys but i am not studded so it would be pointless for me to run on ice. i am happy with the numbers i got last season anyways. it hit 91mph on the gun with 2" of new snow on glare ice with stock clutching. i know when i ran it hard at muni i saw 125mph on the dream meter so i know i am hitting what i should on the war. might want to try the sxr though before i long track it.
 
My nephew just bought a 2001 700 SRX today, we will definately be looking to run a gun somewhere this weekend.. Let us know where your going to be!! I'll set up his clutching and see how it runs against my 2000... I'm betting the 2 will be within 2 MPH of each other.
 
maim yamirider had his wifes bone, bone, bone, stock 6oo reverse and all , no studs and his son run it at 97.4 mph it was very safe with the litle bit of crystalized snow on top . way to go Brandon!!!!!!!!!!! first time for the little boy ,


Jabber looks good for the weekend your more than welcome to come out , i think you got my ###, Can you bring the viper out i always wanted to try one , i am very very very interested in purchasing it .

Good ice I think the SRX has a 124 in it. The Viper is still a work in process trying to find the right clutching set up.. Pulls like a bear down low but doesn't seem to want to pull into overdrive. I may have to gear it to the moon... Right conditions it should pull 130 if I get my shit together.. Pulled 115 in a short pull last weekend..
