im getting my viper ready for the water. i need to know where i can silocone or tape up to eliminate water from getting to my drive belt. any help or suggestions would be great!

are you talking about tipping the sled on its side and siliconing the bottom of the front heat exchanger there right by the skid plate? like where it meets up with the side plastic and front gap between the chassis and the heat exchanger? to me the top is there under the gas tank. can you be more specific on that or pics mite be better!

thanks

I just siliconed around the shock tower and block off the clutch side vents.

I may have been overkill but i took a shop light and siliconed all of the plastic where it meets the aluminum bulkhead, from the shock tower to the heat exchanger....I wanted to be sure I was gonna make it, and had success...Here's the link to my youtube videos... The total distance across by gps was .8 miles, and my average speed was 70mph.

i dont think the vipers have the hole by the heat exchanger. its just the srx's that have it. my belt still gets wet somehow and i want to know if i a missing a place. water is seaping in somewhere. anyone what any info on this?

mine will run water for miles and miles and i can do that from dipping the skis water over the hood evry thing and i have not scilacond enythign or taped enything up. it does great on the water i have some videos on youtube. no videos os me runing eny long stuff but they will be on buy tonight.

my viper does fine on the water no silacon no tape it just set up right set the transfer rods way back and go for broke

no theres gotta be somewhere that i am gettin splashage from! i always see water on the airbox by the secondary and on my belt guard! i don tknow where i am getting the water from. gotta be som place up front but i got the left side vents, 2 belly pan vents and the vent behind the bumper all taped up so water will not get it. also got the shock towers silconed. dont know where else to check. i mite make a piece of tin fit between the belt gaurd and the frame. the gap between the belt gaurd and the frame isnt too big but its enough to let spashage get it. joe, i tried what you said. start slow and let her have it but no luck. i think im going to try the tin part and see what happens!

fabe up a plate and cover ur foot holds from the inside my friedns viper does the same thing he will run some water and it comes in thrue the foot holds. it splashed up from the snow flap or the skis and runs down the runing bored and in to the cluthes.

u think its possible for my belt getting wet that way? im going to cut a piece of tin tonight and cover the gap between the frame and belt gaurd and see what happens! if im still gettin sprayage im going to cover the footwell!
