I need to replace stock track on '02 Viper. Is it possible to put 1.25" lug with studs, without having to change drivers or worry about damaging heat exchanger? If not, what about 1" lug with studs? I need to know what to look for that will fit and accomidate at least 96 picks, but probably 144. I think I am going to replace crappy stock skis at the same time...any suggestions on what to buy? I ride mostly in NLP of Michigan, so ice is common.

the skis on the viper are pretty good, its the carbides that are bad.
you need tunnel protectors either way, i have an 04 er, and im putting studs on this summer, im only running 96, its enough for me just so i dont slide all around on the hardpack corners.
Do you have a rear heat exchanger?

No rear heat exchanger, but I do have tunnel protectors, as the track I am replacing, has 144 studs...Are you saying the skis might need a good set of carbides? I agree on the 96, just in the middle. It just seems like it would be tight up by the front head exchanger, if a taller lug track were installed.
