Ok I dont know if I losing my mind or what. I could have sore that the Viper's bulkhead housed the shock mounts, radius rod mounts, AND the FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING POINTs. I am I wrong on here with the whole front engine mounting points as part of the bulkhead??? Ive been staring at the fiche and see nothing else that the engine could mount to in the front besides what the cataloge calls the bulkhead. Ive look in the frame sections and engine mounts sections and see nothing but the bulkhead. Please help me straighten this out before I buy the wrong part. Thanks
DING where ya at!!!!!!

here is the viper part #8EK-2191A-00-00
an sxr is the same except it is #8CR-2191A-02-00
I know the difference in the 00 and 02 are the year, I think the ek and cr are vin id, so it may work to swap them. I do know a srx won't work. Maxdlx

Yea Im sticking with the Viper bulkhead but Im getting turned around by people telling me that the bulkhead isnt the front engine mounting point, which I thought it was.

Ding is working on his sled. On his second picture, the front piece that has the four holes for the rods and the shock mounts is considered the bulkhead. I checked into it since mine is broken and that is what I found out.

the front bulkhead is the cast aluminum peice that also does have the bosses for the motor mount to attach to, its just a boss with threaded holes, so youll still need the mounts that attach to the engine. Are you using this in your dune buggy? why not just make steel mounts connect to the factory steel mounts? Or possibly are you rear mounting the differential and using the radius riods to support the axle assembly?

Don this will be used on my buggy project. The reason I wanted to utilize the bulkhead was for weight and simplicity reasons. Its either make the engine cratle out of all steel from scratch or use the Viper bulkhead as my base for the front and build off of that. This will be a live axle set up so no .diff, my set up for the rear is gunna be
Banshee Axle Carrier
Banshee Rear Caliper
Custom made shaft to house
Banshee Hub and Rotor
Lonestar Racing Banshee Sprocket Hub
930 CV Flanges
4 930 Race Prepped CV Joint(Good up to 28deg ea.)
2 930 Axles(Length unknown as of know)
All hooked to a 4 or 5 Link IRS

the engine hangs in a sled it doesnt sit down on the frame, its suspended by the front and rear mounts, so unless you needed the trailing arm mounts or such?? you could just make mounting tabs come off the frame both in the front and rear then set the engine on the mounts. just an idea.

Yea I think Im just gunna wait till I get the frame in front of me and figure it out when the times comes. I plan on working the front first and working my way back since the back is the most timing consuming and expensive part of the whole deal.
