I was wondering if anyone has one and what kind of acceleration and top end differences they saw. I just bought an '01 with an M10 and am curious as to what to expect.

It'll ride great and handle decent, but loose some initial weight transfer and about 3-5 mph on the topend. If it still has the standard front shocks you may want to have Pioneer or someone like this put longer shafts in your shocks or get some different shock to raise the front end and balance things out a bit.I have noticed the srx's especially look kinda low in the front with the m-10 compared to my sx-r which has 9" of travel in the front.M-10's have there drawbacks, but the great ride makes up for alot in my book.

Ya it has the Ohlins up front. The guy I bought it from said it's a "builder" sled. Which could explain the blue tunnel (98,99) and blue bellypan (01,02). The previous owner told me the heads are shaved and the exhaust is opened up. He also said that she runs out at 9200 rpm's? That sounds a bit high to me. Could the head work and exhaust work make a 700 rpm difference????? Help meeeeeeeeee seeing that I can't test and tune right now.

Pioneer sells shock extensions for Ohlins if you have the short travel ones.I highly doubt that it should rev that high more like 8500 rpm's, unless you have some aftermarket pipes??We would need more specifics on this, Turk, Mr. Viper or some of the other guys on here would be better to answer your rpm question with more info on your setup.

I looked in all the clutching areas on the tech page and think I have some ideas. I am a big guy (300 lbs suited up) so I think I might have to tinker a bit. Any help would be appreciated. I want a trail burner with legs for the lakes. ( Doesn't everyone though )

if you are a big guy, you should remove the tunnel protectors and replace them with polaris style aluminum full length ones. it will help to keep the tunnel from bowing down from the weight of the gas tank(and you)when it is full.

Is that an easy job? Can I go to my local Polaris dealer and get those? Are those off the Edge chassis or the newer IQ's? It sounds like a good idea. I would hate to tweak the tunnel.
