The grips slid on really easy even with the extra thickness of the shrink tubing.
I put them in hot water for a few minutes to make it easier.
I soldered the ends from the original grips to the Apex grips ( in parallel ) so it plugs right in with no problems.

I saw that as well... I believe Doo has been donig this for a few years as well. With this major meltdown, I may just remove my grips and give the heat wrap trick a try.
