Hi, I have a 2000 Sxr 600 triple and wanted to put on an aftermarket exhaust can for it. I dont want to have to re jet it and i know there are manufacutres out there that dont make you re jet you sled. What I am wondering is what is the best sounding can without me having to re jet my sled?

Thanks.

i got the mbrp race can on my 2003 mountain max 700. its the best thing i ever heard! no re jeting either. (i tryed it on a sxr 600 to it sounded the same as my 700)...your gonna hear people tell you it looses horsepower but mbrp claims it gains 2 horsepower and looses 12 pounds. i love it!

yah i have a mbrp trial can on my vmax but thats a twin and i was wondering if you had to rejet if i were to put on a sno-stuff can?

No you won't have to rejet. The cans dont really gain you anything over stock, just sound and lighter weight. If you're not flowing more air, you don't need more fuel. Hence, no need to rejet.

You can drill the baffle in the stock can for a different sound (I like it - not too loud) and actually gain a little power to boot. Doesn't help with the weight though.
