all you have to get is yamaha contact cleaner won't hurt you cluthes and is easy to get yamaha# ACC-BRKCT-12-00 IT it is cheap also if you get grease on that nice new white yamaha race coat you can use it and it won't hurt you jacket
I looked up VARSOL and there are 5 different types available in the USA... There are 13 total and made by EXXON MOBIL.. They are in the mineral (white gas) spirits family and I would NOT recommend them for cleaning clutches....
look at the label of that yamaha contact cleaner, you'll be surprized!!!

What else can be used in an auto shop parts washer that is safe for aluminum. It smells like Varsol, But is safe to be used on aluminum.
you can use mineral spirits to clean parts,, I just suggest you use a zero residue cleaner to rinse off the mineral spirits (like Brakleen)
There's non chlorinated brakleen that uses acetone,,,but,, I would NOT spray that on your clutches or ANYWHERE NEAR your sled...

When I use the parts washer I always wash parts down after with a good soap bath and them clean them with a brake cleaner after. this is if I don't use the DW.
I don't know if I would use the dishwasher...I'd feel better with brakleen!!!
